Act III, scene iv Summary In Gertrudes chamber, the cigarette and Polonius wait for villages arrival. Polonius plans to hide in do to listen in on Gertrudes opponent with her son, in the hope that doing so will enable him to desexualise the cause of small towns bizarre and threatening behavior. Polonius urges the queen to be harsh with Hamlet when he arrives, saying that she should bawl show up him for his recent behavior.
